TROOPERS SEIZE COUNTERFEIT MONEY AFTER REPORT FROM FREESTONE COUNTY2017-11-09
On Tuesday, 11/7/17, at approximately 5:46 p.m., Navarro County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch put out a radio broadcast advising of an individual attempting to pass counterfeit money at a business in Fairfield.

An employee of the business began following the subject north on IH45. A Department of Public Safety Trooper located the vehicle,  a silver 2012 Dodge 1500 pickup and stopped it approximately two miles south of the Ellis County line for a speeding violation.

The driver, 35 year-old, Willie Gibson Jr., of Ft. Worth, and the passenger, 35 year-old Kirsten Dunn, of Ft. Worth were both found to have multiple warrants out of multiple agencies.

During a search of the vehicle, approximately $600.00 dollars of counterfeit money was found.  Mr. Gibson and Ms. Dunn were both arrested and taken to the Navarro County Jail. Mr. Gibson was charged with forgery of government/national/money/security and both were booked in on the warrants.
